This magazine cover uses bright colors to it's advantage to catch the audiences eyes, but still manages to look color coordinated due to the colors matching well with the main picture used for this magazine cover. The use of shapes such as the arrow and diagonal lines works well as it shows the type of magazine this will be, arty and edgy as well as a more relaxed type of magazine compared to other 'upper class' magazines. These shapes match the whole layout well as they are the same color as some of the text used on the cover helping link the whole cover together.

The Same type of font is used throughout all of the text on the cover, this helps to link all the writing well. Where the writing is needed to stand out either italics or larger writing is used. This cover shows a more mainstream type of style as it is shown to being mentioning well known movies to the viewer. It also relates to a younger target audiences due to the bright colors and shapes used throughout the cover.

The main image on this cover is shown to be slightly off center to the right which draws the attention straight to the face of this character and then to the writing placed cleverly around his face to draw the viewers eyes around the whole of the cover. The date and price is cleverly placed between one of the letters of the title to take up minimum space as well as help draw attention to the title so the audience will easily start to recognise/remember this name.
The other image is placed onto the cover on the bottom left hand corner, this image includes 3 figures which are seemingly walking out of the image onto the cover, this furthers the feel of the arty look to the magazine and helps attract this kind of audience. Overall I think this is a very well put together magazine cover and would suite my target audience well if it was adapted to the horror genre, I intend to use some of the shapes used on this cover as I think they help to pull the whole layout of the image together well as well as filling up the background of the cover.
